YourDetailer
Privacy policy
Last updated: 17 July 2026. This policy also appears inside the YourDetailer app.
Who we are
YourDetailer (yourdetailer.co.uk) is operated by The Tint Factory Ltd, trading as YourDetailer, which is the data controller for the personal data processed by this app.
Contact: hello@yourdetailer.co.uk
What we collect
Customers: email address, display name, phone number, optional profile photo, saved service addresses, and your bookings.
Detailers: email address, your name, business name, phone number, business address and postcode, optional profile photo, services, working hours and booking settings.
When a booking is made, the details needed to fulfil it (your name, phone number and, for mobile jobs, the service address) are attached to that booking so the other party can carry it out.
We also store notification tokens so your device can receive booking alerts.
What we use it for
To run the service: creating and managing bookings, showing detailers to customers, sending booking notifications and emails, and providing support. Lawful basis: performance of a contract, and legitimate interests in running and securing the service. We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
Who can see what
A detailer only ever sees the customers who book with them, and only the details attached to those bookings. Customers see detailers’ business profiles. Access is enforced at the database level.
Our processors
We use a small number of service providers to run the app: Supabase (database, authentication and storage), Expo (push notification delivery) and Resend (transactional email). Postcodes are geocoded using postcodes.io, which receives the postcode only. These providers process data on our instructions.
How long we keep it
Your account data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, addresses and notifications are deleted. Booking records are retained by the other party as their business or purchase record, but with your personal details (name, contact details, photo, notes and address) removed — what remains is the service, date and price, like a line on an invoice.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export and erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. Deleting your account in the app exercises your right to erasure as described above. For anything else, email hello@yourdetailer.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
